We are very excited to start the process to adopt from Uganda! We began this process on May 11, 2011.
We have been matched with a beautiful baby girl and are actively pursuing her adoption. We hope to bring her home in Spring 2012!
Update: In January 2012, we found out that we are not able to adopt this baby girl! Her birthmother decided to parent her, despite an opposite message that was given us from the beginning. We love her, pray for her, and hope the best for her! We are saddened by her loss, but we know God is still at work in other ways. Thank you for praying.
Update: September 17, 2012 we receive news of a referral!! We were graced with the picture of our little Baby Boy, who at the time of referral we think was around 5 months old. We are so surprised to receive this news, and are working hard to bring him home soon!
Update: In January 2013, we received word of our court date, and we will be traveling to pick up OUR SON in February 2013!

We received guardianship of our sweet son on Feb 22, 2013!
Adoption #2
We are excited to announce that we are adopting again from Uganda. We began this crazy journey in September 2014 and can't wait to see what is next!
Update: In March of 2016, the Ugandan Children's Amendment was passed by parliament. It was signed by the president, and became effective June 2, 2016. This Act seems to have ended our pursuit of Ugandan adoption. The door has closed... for now.
